KARACHI - The Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, worth Rs. 14 billion, and changes to the national curriculum have been introduced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The premier announced a budget of three billion rupees for the endowment fund this fiscal year during the inauguration event in Islamabad in order to provide the young with an education and prepare them to build the country.
Additionally, he made it clear that this year's funding will be allocated directly to the kids in the form of scholarships rather than the endowment fund.
Shehbaz stated that he wants to see the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund's budget increase to Rs. 140 billion within the next ten years, claiming that this is the only way the nation can advance on the path of prosperity and development.
He remembered that the Punjab Education Endowment Fund, which awarded scholarships to 450 000 students, was founded in 2008.
