Pakistan won the opening Test match against Sri Lanka on Thursday in Galle to grab a 1-0 series lead over the hosts.

Imam-ul-Haq, Pakistan's opening batsman, was undefeated at fifty as Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka on the last day of the first Test by a margin of four wickets.

Pakistan needed to score 131 to win the match, and they started the day on 48-3. They then lost three more wickets, including captain Babar Azam for 24, before achieving the goal in the first session.
