Harry Maguire, the captain of Manchester United, is stripped by Erin Tag.

 Despite being personally very upset, the defender vows to continue giving it his all whenever he dons the jersey.

Harry Maguire, a defender for Manchester United, has lost his position as club captain, according to manager Erik Ten Hag, who made the announcement on Sunday. 

"The management has informed me he is replacing captain after our meetings today. Although I am personally really upset, I will still give it my all each time I wear the jersey because he explained his reasoning to me, Maguire said on Twitter.

When former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named him captain in January 2020, Maguire thanked the Manchester United faithful for their outstanding support.

It has been a tremendous honour and one of my finest moments in my career to date to lead Manchester United since the day I assumed the position, three and a half years ago. It is among the top awards in club football. I have exerted every effort, both on and off the pitch, to support United's success.

"I will always be grateful to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for first giving me the responsibility, and I wish whoever now takes it every success and they will have my full support," he said in a statement.

He has told me he is changing captain after today's conversations with the management. While I am personally very unhappy, he explained his reasoning to me, and even though I am, I will still give it my all each time I wear the shirt.

Maguire started with the Red Devils for three years, but once Lisandro Martinez joined the team, he was passed over in favour of Raphael Varane, and he only appeared in 31 games last season, making only 16 Premier League appearances.

Although the 30-year-old footballer is willing to leave United, teams have found it challenging to recruit him due to the boost in his pay after the Red Devils' Champions League qualification.

In order to make some acquisitions, Ten Hag still expects to get a decent price for Maguire and other players who are not in his plans.
