KARACHI - Imran Khan, a former prime minister, and two of his aides have had arrest warrants issued by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in three separate incidents involving violence that occurred outside the courthouse while they were attending court.

Khan's lawyer submitted an exemption request on behalf of his client, and Judge Abul Hasnat heard the accusations against the PTI Chairman. Due to the importance of the accused's participation in the continuing procedures, the judge decided that they must appear in court.

In connection with the judicial complex attack case, the court later issued arrest warrants for the PTI head and other leaders, including Farrukh Habib, Shibli Faraz, and Hassan Niazi. The judge also ordered all defendants to appear in person before the allegations brought against them and postponed the case hearing to July 19.

Imran Khan and other party officials were previously detained by Islamabad police after they attacked, vandalised, and damaged the courthouse. Khan arrived to Islamabad's Judicial Complex with a sea of supporters amid mayhem in which some party officials sustained injuries. Khan is facing over 150 cases after being dismissed from power.

Imran Khan and several other party members were charged for violating the Anti-Terrorism Act's Section 353/7 and other laws by inciting the public to commit destruction.
