Robert Pattinson was 'too busy,' according to Christopher Nolan, to appear in "Oppenheimer."

According to Christopher Nolan, Robert Pattinson was "too busy" to work on his project, which is why he wasn't cast in his soon-to-be-released movie Oppenheimer.

In an interview with journalist Tara Hitchcock, the Academy Award-nominated director said that the Remember Me actor was the one who inspired him to create a movie on physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer.

The well-known filmmaker also explained why he chose not to use Pattinson, who featured in his film Tenet, as the main actor in the biographical thriller.
"Yes, Rob, off the back of Tenet, where we refer to Oppenheimer, and I had written a thing about this incredible moment that Oppenheimer and the scientists of the Manhattan Project had where they could not completely eliminate the possibility that when they triggered that first gadget, that first atomic device, they might start the chain reaction that would destroy the world," the director of the Dark Knight trilogy said.

"We used that as a metaphor for Tenet, which Rob was in," the Oscar-nominated director continued. "As a wrap gift, he gave me a book of Oppenheimer's speeches from the 1950s, where you're reading these great intellects trying to deal with the massive consequences of the way in which they've changed life forever, for all of humanity."
Along with Murphy, the movie also stars Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh in a star-studded cast.
