Saud Shakeel scores 150 runs to put Pakistan ahead of Sri Lanka.
At noon, tourists arrived at 313-6.
On the third day of the wet first Test on Tuesday, Saud Shakeel scored an aggressive century and helped Pakistan overtake Sri Lanka with the assistance of overnight partner Agha Salman.
While his overnight companion Agha Salman was bowled out for 83 by Ramesh Mendis, Shakeel hit 150 with the aid of 14 boundaries and a strike rate of above 67.
After a delayed day owing to rain and a soggy ground at Galle, the tourists achieved 365-8 after 84 overs, 50 runs more than Sri Lanka's first innings total.

In his sixth Test, Shakeel scored three runs in a 177-run partnership with Salman to earn his second Test century.
As they faced the Sri Lankan spinners, headed by left-armer Prabath Jayasuriya, who shook the visitors on Monday with three top-order wickets including captain Babar Azam, the pair saved Pakistan from a dangerous 101-5 on day two.
Both Shakeel and Salman scored runs quickly and consistently, but once Salman left the game, the run rate dropped.
