Hockey players from Pakistan in action — PHF

The Asian Champions Trophy hockey team from Pakistan is unable to compete since they have not yet obtained the government's No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is necessary because Chennai, India, will host the competition.

According to reports, the Pakistani team's trip is set on July 31 because the competition begins on August 3 in Chennai.

The Pakistani squad has already obtained Indian visas, and the Interior Ministry has already provided the NOC.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is worried since the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not provide the NOC today.

After issuing the NOC, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination would notify the federation.

It should be remembered that the NOC has not yet been communicated to the PHF and that tomorrow is the final business day before the Muharram vacations.

Shahnaz Sheikh, an Olympian, is expected to lead Pakistan's senior hockey squad at the Asian Champions Trophy, according to news reports earlier today.

According to reliable sources, Shahnaz has begun working with the players after recently joining the club as a consultant.

According to sources, Shahnaz will lead the Pakistani hockey squad in the Asian Champions Trophy. Rehan Butt, an Olympian, would serve as the assistant coach.

The senior hockey squad of Pakistan has begun playing in practise games and competitions against combined teams, according to sources close to the training camp in Lahore.
