The Men in Green's participation in the forthcoming ICC Men's World Cup 2023, which will be held by India, is contingent upon government consent, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which announced this on Tuesday.


The Pakistan vs. India match is set on October 15 in Ahmedabad, according to the ICC's earlier-released schedule for the enthralling event.


The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement in which a representative stated: "The PCB requires the Government of Pakistan's clearance for any tour to India, including the match venues."

The board stated that it was in contact with the government for direction and that it would inform the ICC of any new information as soon as it was received.


The PCB official said, "This view is consistent with what we had advised the ICC a few weeks earlier when they presented the draught timetable with us and requested our comments.


From October 5 to November 19, ten teams will compete for the illusive championship at ten different locations, with the tournament's opening game and championship match taking place in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.All clubs will compete against one another for a total of 45 league matches throughout the round-robin event.


The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, which will take place on November 15 in Mumbai and on November 16 in Kolkata. There will be reserve days for the semifinals and championship.

The ICC Chief Executive, Geoff Allardice, said: "We are happy to reveal the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule, which is always a significant occasion ahead of any global tournament.


"We know that in India, the teams will enjoy a unique electric atmosphere culminating with the winners lifting the trophy in the biggest cricket stadium in the world in Ahmedabad," the statement reads. "We know that hundreds of millions of fans around the world will be part of what we hope will be the greatest ever Men's Cricket World Cup."

India on October 15 in Ahmedabad.


Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru.

South Africa on October 27 in Chennai.


Against Bangladesh on October 31 in Kolkata


November 4: at Bengaluru, against New Zealand


England on November 12 in Kolkata.
