Today, as the country celebrates Eidul Azha with customary passion and fervour, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has requested special consideration for the flood victims and committed to take all necessary steps to give assistance to the general population.

According to official broadcaster Radio Pakistan, the day began with special prayers for the country's advancement and security offered in mosques, Eidgahs, and other locations across.

At the PAF Airbase Samungli Mosque in Quetta, acting President Sadiq Sanjarani, who took over when President Arif Alvi left for the Haj, led the Eid prayers. He prayed for the nation's prosperity.

Acting President Sanjrani stated in his speech that the Eidul Azha spirit of sacrifice has a worldwide standing and that no country can advance in the world until it practises this spirit.

"We should set aside all of our likes, interests, and biases. He emphasised that it was necessary to put aside our political differences and come up with a unified strategy for the country's growth and prosperity, noting that Pakistan was only possible because of unending sacrifices.

Sanjrani said, "On this day, we must commemorate the creators, martyrs, and guardians of the motherland who gave their lives in the noble cause of safeguarding, advancing, and elevating the beloved country.

At his residence in Lahore's Model Town, Prime Minister Shehbaz prayed for Eid.

In a statement that was made public by the Prime Minister's Office, the prime minister expressed his congratulations to the nation on the significant event. A specific attention should be paid to individuals who were rendered homeless by the floods of the previous year, he also urged the population.

PM Shehbaz stated that he was aware that inflation and the recession, two foreign problems, had led to price increases in Pakistan. However, he swore that the administration was using all available means to offer aid to the populace.

Furthermore, according to PM Shehbaz, the point of a sacrifice is to "sacrifice one's life in the way of Allah to achieve higher goals" rather than merely calling for the death of an animal.

He said, "It is a reality that no country in the world can advance unless it has the attitude of sacrifice.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Services Chiefs, and the armed forces sent their best wishes for the holiday season, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

"Eidul Azha gives us a message of peace, unity, fraternity, and selfless sacrifice for humanity," the military's media branch stated.

Additionally, it exhorted the populace to commemorate and remember the martyrs who gave their life in defence of their country. The ISPR continued, "They will always be etched in our hearts."

In Nawabshah, lawmakers and PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari participated in Eid prayers. The PPP Media Cell said in a tweet that Zardari prayed for the durability of democracy and the welfare of the populace.
