The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday reported previous Test commander Inzamam-ul-haq's arrangement as the central selector of the public men's group.
In an explanation given by the cricket body, the 53-year-old was expected to charge as the central selector of the group. He was named to the Cricket Specialized Advisory Group (CTC) last week.
Inzamam recently filled in as boss selector from 2016 to 2019. His chosen group won the Heroes Prize under the administration of Sarfaraz Ahmed in 2017.
